Cataloochee Ski area was the first ski resort in North Carolina. It has eight slopes and sits high atop Fie Top Mountain at an elevation of 5,400 feet.
Ghost Town is also located in Maggie Valley. This nationally known western theme park draws tens of thousands of visitors annually.
Soco Gardens Zoo is a popular attraction for the young and old alike.
